Join us for the 3rd annual Muskegon Area Earth Week! It will be a wonderful week filled with events that educate, inspire and encourage acts for change that benefit our community and our earth. Plans include Creation Care Day, Environmental & Sustainability Awards, workshops, a film festival and more, concluding with the Earth Fair on April 26.

Located near Fruitport, Five Lakes is a class C sanctuary. This means that the sanctuary can only be visited with the assistance of an MNA guide.  Registration is required for this event.

Creation Care Day

Churches in the Muskegon area are invited to take part in Earth Week by supporting sustainable practices in their own buildings, making announcements in church or in their bulletins and by standing up and saying they support practices that help sustain this planet.

Rain Barrel Workshop

West Michigan Environmental Action Council, in partnership with The Muskegon Conservation District, Muskegon County and a grant from the Environmental Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County, will provide low cost rain barrels to West Michigan home owners through regularly scheduled workshops. The average rain barrel will keep 1,815 gallons of stormwater out of our lakes and rivers each year. Water that can be safely used to irrigate your lawn or garden.  $20 (includes barrel)

Earth Fair

Muskegon County Household Hazardous Waste & Medication Disposal
